The Old Quarriers 4 Star Cottage is  located in the small peaceful village of Ballachulish, only one mile from Glencoe Village. This property is over 150 years old and was used in the past by men whom used to work at the world famous slate Quarry which is located in the village of Ballachulish, the quarry has been closed for many, many years  but it is still a very interesting place to visit and to take walks through. Quarriers cottage is centrally located within the village of Ballachulish only five minutes walk from the local bus service stop and only a few minutes from the local shop, pub and bistro.

The accommodation comprises:

  • Sitting room with dining area
  • Separate Kitchen equipped to a four star standard
  • Double bed room , all bed linen and towels provided
  • Hallway
  • Shower room (there is no bath at this property, sorry)
Facilities include, wide screen Tv and DVD player, midi hi-fi, all bed linen and towels provided free for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped to a very high standard, with washer drier, fridge, freezer, microwave, food processor, oven, hob and extractor all standard.

Quarriers Cottage is fully double glazed and central heated throughout with a Granite and Oak feature fireplace with electric fire. This cottage caters for the smaller parties of two people and one child only, it is furnished to a very high standard throughout and it has a private garden to the rear with a patio area. Included in the cost is all bed linen and limited towels. The cottage has private secure car parking to the rear of the property and is 14 miles from Fort William and 32 miles from Oban, 17 miles from Nevis range Ski Centre and 13 miles from Glencoe Ski Centre. Inverness and Glasgow are all well within an  hour and a half drive from Glencoe.

The village of Ballachulish is situated next to the beautiful Loch Leven, from the cottage a five minute walk gets you to the loch side. There is a local water sports centre where you can hire a boat, water bike or even a cruiser for the day. Whitewater rafting, horseriding, flying and skiing its all here in Glencoe along with the world famous hill climbing of course.
